About Bow Tie Cinemas
Bow Tie Cinemas was founded by B.S. Moss. The theatre is the starting point for many famous jugglers. Broadway's former Colonial Theatre is the premiere and exclusive venue for early Walt Disney movies. The cartoon "Willie Steamboat" that brought Mickey Mouse to the world was first released here. Hong Kong also premiered Disney's Fantasia, and then exclusively broadcast the film for more than a year, which was a revolutionary sound production process. Bow Tie Cinemas has been in operation for 63 years and is home to several major movie premieres in New York, including Sleeping Beauty, Lady Ladies, Funny Girls, Lawrence of Arabia, and Aliens. Throughout the 20th century, the B.S. Moss Theatre provided entertainment for many people and became the largest independent theatre in the metropolitan area of New York at the time. The facility includes a bow tie limit bar, reserved for a luxurious recliner seat, freshly baked handmade pizza, etc.
