We didn’t get to fly with Copa but I really want to say a huge thank you to the truly amazing ground staff at Miami Airport. It was our onwards flight to Colombia from London but US customs took absolutely forever to clear and we got to the gate literally as the bridge was being pulled away from the plane. So frustrating!!The guys at Copa’s desk could not have been nicer or more helpful. They got us on a flight with another airline that left an hour later and amazingly at no extra cost! I think we would’ve had a little breakdown if we had to figure out an alternative ourselves and probably had to spend quite a bit of money too on a hotel and a new flight.Thank you Copa!
I had a nice experience with this airline, who I flew with several times on a recent trip around South America. The flights were fine, and the staff all very nice. At one point I was served a breakfast I could not eat as it contained chicken (I am vegetarian) and the fight attendant went and found a bunch of packets of almonds and biscuits for me, so I could eat. Sweet!
I flew with Copa Airlines during the COVID-19 pandemic and was highly impressed with them. Unfortunately my suitcase was damaged when I arrived at my destination, but after contacting their customer service department, they resolved the issue quickly.I would happily fly with Copa again and believe they care for their customers.
Copa Airlines is consistently the best airline serving Latin America from their hub in Panama. They are certainly not the cheapest, but you can rely on them for safety, punctuality and service. They have done a great job connecting secondary cities across the Americas. Very often they give frequent fliers a free upgrade to business class.

I flew with them on February. My route was Panama-Nicaragua and it went okay with all the measures for covid19 and great boarding strategy. The lugagge came on time and I even have another fly coming with them this month and I will let you guys know how that goes too.
As we all now know there are no airlines that can be described as being excellent. I have, however, found COPA airlines (Panama) to be quite good. The flights, and times are good, the food is good and the crews are friendly. They even arrange convenient stopovers in Panama without extra charges. They also present no problems to flight changes for a small fee.

Had 19+ flights with them! recently flew from Manaus to Punta Cana! all flights on time! nice little snacks on board! new planes and all of them well kept! sometimes they cancel a flight due to lack of demand but they will compensate you with free hotel and 300 USD vouchers to use in Panama! I read the comments, most of people here are at fault. Would fly them again!
I enjoyed the flight. My head rest was a little broken, but the airline staff and service was friendly. Most south americans fly copa, and i can see why. It's no delta, but its still nice. would reccomend.
I am not sure if I flew on the same airline as the others writing reviews. Copa is a good, solid, service oriented airline. Flew from NYC to Sao Paolo via Panama City. Four legs on nicely refurbished or new B737’s. Four legs early or on time. Great onboard service. These flight attendants do not rest with their legs up in the galley. They are constantly visible. Free blankets? Where do you find that on US based carriers? Fight Attendants that respond to calls with warm smiles and willingness to get you whatever you want, versus a frown and a look that says “why are you bothering me?” Double the number of Airport Check-In Agents and Gate Agents that you find on most airlines, to keep lines low and managed. They are seriously efficient and have their operations fine-tuned. They put manpower where it is needed. How else can you manage 55 minute layover / transfers successfully, with plenty of time at your next gate? Luggage arrived timely intact, in spite of such tight transfer times. Sure – these are things that you should just be able to expect from an airline, but these days, they shine in comparison to their peers. The cons for Copa are that you must transfer in Panama City to get anywhere other than Panama City, making much longer flight times than non-stop carriers. (but I also paid less than half the price of non-stops, saving A LOT of $$) The NEW B737-9 does not have a screen at seat back. You need to plug into their entertainment on your “device”. Movies are not particularly suited for cell phone screens. But, I think this is simply the wave of the future. Also, their webpage has bad functionality. BUT, from a service standpoint, many other airlines around the globe could take some lessons from Copa. Their efficiency and friendly service put others to shame. I was very impressed by this little airline that could!!!
I am a Copa frequent flyer (Connect Miles) and have been using Copa since many years. It was one of the best (if not the best) airline in Latin America. It might not compare with airlines with longer trips but they are always on time and the service is ok. They made huge improvements in many planes with a great entertainment system.
