This representative went above and beyond and connected the tv to my internet and did all the troubleshooting to get it connected. “High price decent service”

I tried to save money by switching from Cox. As my Dad used to say you get what you pay for. Competitor rates may work for you for home entertainment. If you work from home as I do and depend on internet for income, I would recommend spending the 100 dollars more a month.Their Customer service is always trying to sell you and raise the Bill. But the Quality of their Service Rep doesn't suck. You don't have to spend hours on the phone and get transferred around with tech support. One Call and you are Good.To sum up, Cox isn't Cheap. They are well managed and maintenance.

I'm actually a reluctant fan of Cox. I've had them for years and have had very little issue for the most part and when I do, a phone call or service call has solved it. I went in over a year ago to "cut the cord" but was actually talked into signing up for a bundle because they beat the prices of all the other stuff I was going to have to pay for: YouTube TV, HBO, Starz, Showtime, Hulu, etc. My internet is very fast and I have a DVR box that I love. Their DVR box and remote is one of the best I've seen - I love the On Demand where I can watch my shows even if I forgot to record them the next day and I can use voice on my remote to find them. The Cox app is pretty neat and the website is easy to manage. Recently my main DVR box crapped out and I called and was refunded about $15 for the two days I couldn't watch and a service call was set up for the following day (which was fast) the fella showed up on time, was polite, and quickly fixed the issue. Boom. They're not perfect

Customer service lacking (Updated)

Was told by an onsite tech that the service fee could be waived if the work was simple and 10min or less. This was on a previous botched Cox installation. They charged me anyway and when I called them to request assistance (after being disconnected 3 times), not only were they not interested in helping me but then tried to up sell me additional services. Avoid this company if possible. Update: Stephanie E. from Cox customer service followed up with me and worked to get the service charge refunded as a courtesy. She was everything the first Cox rep was not: understanding, patient and helpful. I will therefore change my rating from 1 star to 4. If COX simply stopped trying to nickel and dime customers and showed more courtesy and consideration, any short term cost would be more than made up by happy, loyal, long term, PAYING customers. Is all this bad publicity worth the few dollars being saved by taking a hard line with customers? If the charges are not refunded, I will update.

I am not sure if this is where I can write my Cox Communication experience with customer service . My teller was Miguel Lopez and he was AMAZING . After being turn down by 4 other tellers that said they could not help me with my bill , finally I get in touch with Miguel & he literally helped me in less than 20 minutes . I work with healthcare & I have worked in a customer service industry for a long time . I know great service when I am receiving it . Thank you Miguel , I hope your hard word never goes unnoticed . You made my day because I was having a rough week . Simple things matter .
